Pentaerythritol

Product is a crystalline solid with a high melting point. It is a four-functional polyalcohol with all basic hydroxyl groups. It is a key raw material for the production of alkyds, including those with a high content of solids and water-borne, for many types of paints – it improves hardness and drying. It is also used in many esters, such as rosin esters for the production of adhesives and paint inks, fatty acid esters for synthetic lubricants and acrylic acid esters for UV curing. In addition, pentaerythritol is used in phenol antioxidants for polyolefins. Micronized form of the product is used in flame retardant systems and PVC stabilizers.
