It is a light yellow, transparent solid that is formed from rosin by esterification by means of pentaerythritol. It has high viscosity, low content of volatile organic compounds, excellent thermal stability and aging stability, excellent compatibility with polymers, etc. It is used in hot melt EVA-based adhesives, bookbinding adhesives, self-adhesive adhesives based on SIS or SBS, emulsions and paints based on NR and CR (neoprene, chloroprene).
