According to the scientific nomenclature, inositol is a cyclic six-carbon polyhydroxy alcohol in nine isometric varieties. Inositol is also called vitamin B-8, but it does not meet the requirements of a vitamin because it can be synthesized by the body.

Inositol improves the overall level of serotonin, thanks to which it improves mood and supports coping with stress, it also supports the fight against depression and anxiety. Combined with choline, it is classified as a lipotropic compound that supports metabolism and accelerates fat burning, and prevents the accumulation of fat in the liver. It has been proven that inositol has a positive effect on the synthesis of neurotransmitters and the action of some receptors. Additionally, inositol works as an excellent agent in the prevention of vascular and heart diseases.
