Lemon Essential Oil – It is obtained from the peel and fruit of lemons by cold pressing or by distillation. It is colorless to yellow in color and has a characteristic lemon scent. The dominant component of the oil is limonene. Lemon oil is used in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic and food industries, but also at home. It inhibits the growth of bacteria and has an antiseptic effect. Lemon oil has many uses, including help in the treatment of respiratory diseases, as a means of improving the condition of the skin and nails, as a disinfectant, insect repellent, but also as a seasoning for cakes, salads or meat dishes.
