Toluene diisocyanate (TDI) used in industry is most often a mixture of two isomers: toluene-2.4-diyl diisocyanate (2.4-TDI) and toluene-2.6-diyl diisocyanate (2.6-TDI) in a ratio of 80/20. Colourless, flammable, toxic liquid with a characteristic odour similar to chloroform. It is mainly used in flexible polyurethane foams, in the production of adhesives, varnishes, elastomers etc. of polyurethane products.
