The sodium salt of glutamic acid obtained by the action of sodium hydroxide. Prismatic white crystals or crystalline white powder. Odourless, characteristic weak sour taste. It has a taste and smell enhancing function. It increases the sensation of salty taste, allows to reduce the content of kitchen salt in dishes.
