Multifunctional protein from the group of transferrins, showing high affinity for iron ions. Highest concentration of lactoferrin was found in foremilk and is also found in breast milk, thanks to which the newborn receives nutrients and antibacterial protection. This protein is part of the innate (non-specific) immunity and forms the body’s first line of defence against pathogens. Appearance: Light pink powder with a content of min 90% lactoferrin. Properties: antiviral, antibacterial, antifungal, anti-parasitic, anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer.
