DOP-plasticizer
- Bis (2-ethylhexyl) phthalate Dioctyl phthalate
Product description
One of the plasticizers, i.e. substances that reduce intermolecular interactions and increase the mobility of polymer chains. Plasticizers cause reducing the vitrification temperature, hardness and increase flexibility. Di-2-ethylhexyl phthalate, called dioctyl phthalate, is obtained by esterifying phthalic anhydride with 2-ethylhexyl alcohol, otherwise octanol. Dioctyl phthalate is widely used as a polyvinyl chloride plasticizer. Used mainly in the processing of plastics as a plasticizer, and in the paint and varnish industry.
