Application

Application in the chemical industry, for the production of dyes and tanning intermediates as well as tannins and synthetic resins. Key raw material for industrial syntheses. It is also used in the production of adipic acid and ε-caprolactam – intermediates for the production of polyamide fibres (stylon, perlon and nylon). Cyclohexanone serves as a solvent for cellulose acetate, nitrocellulose, celluloid, natural and vinyl resins, raw rubber, fats, oils, waxes, shellac and DDT.
