The history of Angel Yeast Co.
Founded in 1986, the state-owned company’s focus from the beginning was on the production of special yeast varieties and their processing. The aim was to produce the highest quality food, and dietary supplements. In 2000, it transformed itself into a public limited company, at the same time opening up to foreign markets.
It is now one of the most important biotechnology companies in the world. It employs nearly 13,000 people in 13 state-of-the-art production centres and the company’s products are available in more than 160 countries. Constantly expanding and launching new divisions, Angel Yeast is valued at $2.5 billion, securing its place alongside brands such as Heinz and Kinder.
